Riverside South
Riverside South is a suburban community in the south end of Ottawa, just southwest of Ottawa Macdonald–Cartier International Airport. Before amalgamation in 2001 the area was in the city of Gloucester. In the early 1990s it was mostly vacant land with a few houses and farms, and the first homes were built in 1996. The older community of Honey Gables, first built around 1950, sits on the west side of River Road within the wider area. The Ottawa Neighbourhood Study area used here, Riverside South - Leitrim, had 19,125 residents in the 2021 census.
